Meltaway Cookies

Ingredients:

1 c. butter
1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. cake flour
1/4 tsp. salt
Red and Green food coloring – optional

Instructions:

Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.

In mixing bowl combine butter, sugar and vanilla. In a separate bowl mix together flour and salt.  Add flour mixture to the butter mixture.

Optional: Separate the batter into two separate bowls, mix red food coloring in one and green in the other.

Roll into 1″ balls and drop onto an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake for approximately 8 minutes but don’t overly brown them.

When still warm roll in additional confectioners sugar.

Yield – 4 to 5 dozen cookies

  2. yep definitely the BEST! and everytime i make them people love them too. these are a staple in my christmas cookies.
