New TV Season

So far I’ve been pleasantly surprised with this season’s new offerings.  As far as new shows, I’ve seen Sleepy Hollow, The Blacklist, Agents of SHIELD and Lucky 7.  The only one I have no interest in watching again is Lucky 7, it just annoyed me.  I didn’t like most of the characters and what I thought would be a very uplifting show was just depressing.

I think The Blacklist has a lot of potential and I’ve always liked the snarkiness of James Spader.  Sleepy Hollow (see Monday’s post about that)  fits in well with my love of paranormal stories and Tom Mison is a very sexy Ichabod.  The Agents of SHIELD was done really well.  It picked up right where The Avengers left off. I just love the cool toys!

I can’t wait for the rest of my favorites to return either.  Person of Interest was really great last night, as was Castle on Monday – glad to see that the chemistry between Castle and Becket is still as strong as ever.  I’m still waiting for the return of Grimm, Criminal Minds and Elementary.

What are your favorite shows of the new season?  What returning shows are you anxiously awaiting? Do you have any suggestions for other shows I may have missed?

Sleepy Hollow

I always look forward to the start of the new TV Season.  Not that I watch much TV really, but I do have my favorites – Person of Interest, Criminal Minds, Elementary… hmmm I detect a pattern here.  Anyway, last week I caught the first episode of a new show – Sleepy Hollow.

Tom Mison, ichabod crane, sleepy hollow, tv, television, series, new series, lynne st. jamesIt was very entertaining and Tom Mison, who plays Ichabod Crane, is very easy on the eyes. Loosely based on the children’s story that gave me nightmares in elementary school, Ichabod and the headless horseman are irrevocably linked.

I don’t want to give anything away to those who haven’t watched the first episode. But there was a scene in there that scared the crap out of me – and had my man LOL’ing all over the place.  And if you can’t tell by now, I definitely recommend giving it a try.

I can’t wait for tonight’s show, and I’ll be curious to see where they are going next with the rest of the series. I’m also wondering what kind of romantic tension they’ll create between Ichabod and Abbie, the police detective. By the way, if you haven’t seen it yet, you can catch last week’s show on

Check it out and let me know what you think! Are there any new shows you’re looking forward to this season?
